Melody Nikmaram is an associate attorney at Begum Pelaez-Prada PLLC, where she practices corporate and transactional law. Her work includes advising clients on business formations, entity structuring, corporate governance, contract drafting and negotiation, mergers and acquisitions, ownership transfers, and general business and regulatory compliance.
Melody gained significant hands-on legal experience as a student attorney in the Criminal Justice Clinic for two semesters, where she managed her own pro bono clients and caseloads while developing practical skills in criminal law and trial advocacy.
EDUCATION
Melody earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Spanish, from Trinity University in San Antonio, graduating in May 2021. She received her Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law in May 2024.
LEADERSHIP & LAW SCHOOL EXPERIENCE
During law school, Melody served as President of the Women’s Law Association, the largest student-led organization on campus. She also worked as a Teaching Assistant for the Summer Skills Enhancement Program, which evaluates students’ eligibility for law school admission upon completion.
LICENSURE & LANGUAGES
Melody is fluent in Farsi and is licensed to practice law in both Texas and New Mexico.
